Very nice site. I do not see any info. on quarries or diving the rivers (only checked Michigan). Other than that very nice. Saw a full listing of the shops. I will be using this site on a regular basis.

Kudos,

Bus

Very nice site...Good listing of the wrecks. I would put more info about the wrecks. Condition of the wrecks ect.

I like liveSCUBA much better.
The GoogleMap interface works much better that the plain text listing.
And LiveScuba is USER driven.

livescuba doesn't have nearly the magnitude of data! I'm in the process though of adding the names to the markers so that when you click on the or hover over them it appears. My site is fairly new and still a work in progress.

when I moved to cleveland from Rochester, I was trying to find shops and wrecks that you could dive and it became tiresome to constantly have to google to find a single shop or wrecks and dive sites that are available.

For things like the quarries, if you create a login, you can add those sites that you know about - the owner of one of the quarries in OH created a login and added a dive event for April 1 to let people know about the opening of the quarry - now that I know about it, I can add it to the list of dive sites!

Oh yeah, I just noticed that - my site is also user driven - you can add updated coordinates, new dive sites, new dive shops, new dive clubs, etc. You can comment on the various wrecks, sites, and dive shops/charters. There is a button to "vote" that a shop has closed (I think once it's reached a threshold of 5 or so, it will indicate that most people believe the shop is closed - but will still display it).

I just require that people login to do this to avoid the spam bots.

My pride isn't completely smashed, just bruised:)

LiveScuba is alright. I wouldn't say it's much better though and both sites are user driven. I think Ray's is way more comprehensive than either, despite not being user driven and not including shops/charters.

Ray's is interesting, but it's the same problem I ran into when I decided to create my site - it's not always enough to know a dive exists! I wanted to know where it was and who dives, or at least which dive shops are close enough to dive it! (I will be adding the dive shops to the maps here shortly, that way you can get a nice visual proximity of the shops and wrecks, etc).
