New to the world of SCUBA

I have just started the beginning of my quest to be a diver. I am so excited. Unfort. I was told that I may not be able to due to High Blood Pressure and that has made me so upset. My blood pressure is under control while on meds. I take alsiniprololo or however you spell it. Does anyone know if I will be able to dive on this med or not- I have read several articles about this topic and have not seen this med get listed. Do I need to change to something else?? Please I REALLY want to dive so badly- I need to know.
