For the DUI demo days, you do need to bring your gear--they provide the drysuits--but bring tanks, weights, BCD, reg, etc. It's fun and easy way to meet some local divers. A lot of the local dive shops send their people out to be instructors or DMs for the weekend at the event.

It's been a couple days since I didn't look at my post now and I only discover all your answers now :) Thanks a lot guys ! Did a dive with Dave since then... we got 89 mins down at 30' and cold 39ŽºF ! Great dive !!! Cape Ann is a no miss !

To answer some questions, I'm around Lexington in MA

Saw the DUI stuff but I'm not able to go since I have friends visiting this week. Anyway, I have my own drysuit, only 5 dives with it so i feel like a newbie, but it's fun to learn and the practice in shallow waters is helpful !

Hey there, My name is Nick and I am always looking for buddies and people to dive with (I also work for a dive shop ;-) ). If you go to ecdivers.com and click on the shop menu there will be a link to our shore diving schedule which runs all summer and is a great place to meet new buddies. If you wanna go diving let me know !!!

Nick

Hey Johnny Z,

How are you big guy? Yeah, I am back in the Beantown for GOOD!! Florida was ok but Boston always seemed to be calling! I'm back at East Coast in Brookline if you're in the area stop by some time or give me a shout to go diving.

Hey Nick, I was not aware that you were back in the Boston area from Florida.

Yes I'm a francophone from Belgium :)

You didn't happen to bring along any Duchesse de Bourgogne along from home, did you? If you did, I'll dive with you whenever you want and twice on days of the week that end in Y.

Nope... and if I did, I bet by now I would have drunk every sip of every bottles ;o)
Now, Duchesse de Bourgogne is too sweet for me, though a great beer !
My favorites are most of the trappist beers (as you could guess...) !
That said, if I had any I would be more than happy to share, both my knowledge on beers and the beer tasting ;o)

That's funny, I find the majority of the Trappist's too sweet for me and the sweetness of the Flanders Reds is more than offset by the sourness of the Brett and the Lacto. I probably shouldn't tell you this but a friend and I are in the planning stages for making a 60 gallon batch of Flanders. We'll be storing it in a used wine barrel for 18 months or so. Maybe we'll invite you over on brew day and just dunk you in the coolship. Might save us a few $$$ on yeast and bacteria and lend a touch of authenticity. :lotsalove:
