Welp first pool session was last night. Must say its quite the experience the first time breathing underwater. Loved it. Had a little trouble with the breathing off your buddies extra reg. Not sure how it happened but I put put it in my mouth, cleared and still got a large amount of water in my mouth. Surprised the hell outta me lol. Are all newbies pretty bad with BC? The whole night I was either almost breaking hte surface or running along the bottom lol.

Sounds like a pretty normal first experience. Did you have that reg in upside down? Sometimes they won't clear very well like that. The BC takes some getting used to and the only way to get the hang of it is to practice. There's a little finesse involved but if you work at it you will improve :D

Second pool session was last night. Had a hard time controlling myself again but about half way through instructor went and got all of us in the class properly weighted. I was overweighted so once he dropped some it go alot better. Was able to stay off the bottom and control where I was a lot easier. The enjoyment really went up once I didnt have to fight to stay off the bottom or off the surface. Those underwater torpedo toys are fun lol

Welcome to diving and to the GLWC! You'll find this is a great place to find dive buddies and to learn a ton about diving.
