Way different here. Nobody rents BPWs. Most shops don't even sell BPWs. Makes me wish I were working in Times Square but from what I understand parking is something of a problem and bringing twinsets on the subway is discouraged.
 
go to a local dive shop (LDS). The service, support and relationship with an LDS will help you in the long run. The LDS is the backbone of the dive industry. be smart....find a good one and create a relationship!
 
Don't do what I did - which is only rely on the LDS for fills and never get to know any of them. You should actually go there and make friends.
