Definitely steel tanks for cold water, you can figure on using about 5 lbs of less lead. The 100s are great tanks and I am really starting to love my hp130,I can usually get two dives out of the 130. I really do not get the hype on the under fills,my steel 72s always get a full fill of 2250 psi giving me a whopping 65 cf of air,I generally get about 3200 psi cold on my high pressure tanks, which is about 120 cf on the 130 and about 90 cf+ on the 100,guess which ones get the most use.

why does it seem like everyone is wanting alum 80? seems to be the most popular out there
one reason is simply that they are generally the cheapest choice in new tanks.
