Hello SoCal.
I'm new to La Jolla, here from the east coast. I'm a NAUI instructor from PA, and I've done a lot of New Jersey wreck diving back home, now I'd like to see what SoCal has to offer. My wife got a job out here and was relocated, so I'm currently unemployed looking for a job. Until then, there's lots of free time for diving. I'm planning on getting some fills at OE in La Jolla tomorrow morning and checking out the cove. I'd love to find some buddys to dive with in the next few weeks while I have all this free time on my hands, I'd be available to dive almost any day of the week. If anyone doesn't mind me tagging along, let me know!

Hey Kevin, welcome to San Diego and the So Cal forum! :D As you may know, we have a couple artificial reef wrecks here in San Diego that the local operators frequent, and a bunch of other kinda secret wrecks you will no doubt be diving soon. A group of us from here at ScubaBoard dive in La Jolla quite frequently so I'll be sure to let you know when we get something together!

I'm tentatively planning to do La Jolla Cove on Sunday morning, to see the Giant Seabass. Let me know if you'd like to join.

There are quite a few active dive clubs in San Diego.

The Dive Animals have their own Panga and zodiac and run trips about every weekend out to the local spots. www.diveanimals.com

The Bottom Bunch is great group of really friendly divers and they dive ALOT. Regular meetings, group trips both local and abroad. Check them out at www.bottombunchdiveclub.com

I belong to both. Come out, lets go diving.

As a side note. I dive every Monday morning before work. It's dawn patrol diving but you are welcome to come along.

Terry
