Hi all. I'm just starting out in my new adventures. I take my open water class this weekend and will do my open water dives in Tobago. I bought some equipment from another diver and was wondering if it is good stuff. The diver I bought it from used it a couple of times then they decided to just rent stuff when he traveled so they wouldn't have to care it with them. Here is what I bought. Any feedback would be appreciated. I will have all items inspected from a dealer.

1st STG - Oceanic CDX5
2nd STG - Oceanic Gamma2
Octopus - 180 deg Swivel
Computer - ProPlus2

Hi Bear,
Welcome to the SB and welcome to diving !!!! Diving is lots of fun and you get to meet new people all over the place with the same interest.
But remember you have to follow the rules in scuba to keep safe.
Keep up with all your skills even after you get your c card !!!!! practice, practice, practice !!!! And Remember if you need to "drop your weight belt" do so !!! but make sure no one is below you first.
It sounds like you have a good deal and a good start on your equitment, but make sure you get it checked out as planned.
Now go out and have fun !!! Good luck on your check out dives.
Have Fun !!!!!

Welcome to the :sblogo: and good luck with your training. What agency are you going to do your training with?

Congratulations on taking the first steps toward an incredible life adventure!
Life's crazy, live it! If you ever need any advice or help, we're here for you. Definitely get the gear checked out as planned. Gear is a very personal thing, it depends on what works for you, not someone else, so try it out and see how it fits (when you're trained properly of course). Have a great time in class and study hard! Welcome aboard!

Howdy and Welcome to SB...!

I've been away on a special dive trip, but wanted to jump in and say Welcome! ;)

Keep in mind that it always helps in discussions to keep your Profile & Dive Info current here. PM me if I can help...
