If you're on the island on a Sunday, not diving and looking for a great brunch - French Quarter is the place!

French Quarter was recently taken over by a new and very dedicated owner! He is really putting his southern heart and soul into improving the food, and he's DONE it! It's a restaurant again! Don't worry, you can still get Monday night football, as well as other sports at the downstairs bar area - but the food is back! Sunday Jazz brunch features Southern specialties as well as traditional and healthy choice breakfast items. Special prices on Mimosa and Bloody Mary's and a really nice jazz duo!

Brunch is from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Sundays and all menu items are $50 - $100 pesos! great food and lots of it!

Eggs cooked to order
Breakfast tacos
Biscuits and gravy
Omelettes
Fruit.granola.yogurt
etc.

Try it - you can't go wrong!

Also open Wednesday through Monday for dinner (closed on Tuesdays)! Great cajiun food - best blackened chicken sandwich I've had! Great shrimp boil, gumbo, and more!!!!! Monday night football as always!!!

Yeah, the photos David's been posting have been making my mouth water.

I'm definitely going to have to try it. The next time I'm on the island I've vowed to try not to return to any place I've eaten before. Except el Pique - my kid would kill me if we didn't go there at least once.

You will run out of places to eat if you can't go back to anywhere you've been before!

And even if you've been to the FQ in the past and been disappointed, I urge you to try it again! It's GREAT and David is also really listening to feedback and wants to offer what people want if possible to get the ingredients!

There are LOTS of places I haven't been yet. Plenty for a week's visit.

French Quarter is one of those places I've never visited. I never saw a need to try it until the new owner showed how serious he is about the food and started posting those amazing pictures.

I had been to the french quarter before my last trip in june and was surprised to meet the new owner Dave. he was great- he had bought the bar literally like 5 days before at the start of slow season. (kind of a bummer way to start) . We hung out there a couple of nights and will be bback in sept and looking forward to trying the new menu. Great place to watch the games.

The French Quarter Sunday Jazz Brunch is a unique find in Cozumel. The menu is simple however the selections are more than adequate. Sit, relax, have a Mimosa, coffee, breakfast, listen to the Live Jazz, enjoy the breeze of the second floor open patio and you surely will have a wonderful time ! DH Michael and I look forward to visiting there again.
