I have a spreadsheet of My Mode settings which I use with my 5060 7070 - PM me your e-mail and I will send it to you .

A few things;
You'll get the instructions on the strobe set up back in Chinese. Most folks on this board are not quite as fluent as they should be, so here is a link in English. Inon has a 7 page .pdf file in English. Try the link below or go to Inon's home page, choose 'Support', then 'Documentation'. It is the only pdf file under Optical cables. Link is http://inonamerica.com/doc.php

Also, you'll get an Advanced book as well as a Basic book with your stobe. The basic book is the 3 hr reading/playing that you'll end up figuring out on your own in a few dives anyway. Bring the Advanced book with you too. I am a beginner and I was into the Advanced book trying out some of the strobe settings the second night of diving.

Settings:
JustLeesa is right. Get it into slave mode and check to see that it stays there. If you leave your batteries out too long, it will reset itself.

Modes:
I guess the best thing I can tell you is to go through Drive, ISO, Flash/Slow, Noise reduction, fulltime AF, AF Mode, Microphone & Function settings one by one for what you want to accomplish for a particualr mode setting. The key thing about the MyMode setting is that it remembers the elements and gets you through the typical set up functions fast. I set the zoom on a small item in my room one evening. I made the drive normal, the ISO Auto. You'll need to fiddle with the flash a bit depending on your lighting contitions (i.e. brbight with good viz or dark with minimal viz). I left the fulltime AF off as I think MF is the only way to really get a macro to come out right, AF Mode on iESP, Microphone off, and Function off. probably the best thing to do is go through the manual on these particualr items as a refresher first on land. It will also help you refresh yourself on the cool feautres which are less used like Sepia and Black/White under function. They make for some wonderful underwater geography shots.

For me, the big thing is remembering the sequence of buttons to press underwater to switch from one mode to another quickly. I use a PT-015 housing, but it should not matter what housing type you use.

Thanks for the tips. The good news is my GF speaks and reads Chinese, as well as a few other tounges. Pms being sent. Just gotta get the basics down before the black water dive...
