I wanted to have a dive computer that i could wear like many people have said (get the value and novelty out of it) and don't particularly care to wear a smart watch, but why not have some of those options to play with. I got intrigued by the Atmos Mission 2. I received it and seems to have lots of trouble with altitude, GPS, step counter seems to be way more than i think i walk and pretty sure by my belly I'm not burning that many calories. I updated the watch 2x and reset it to try to see if it would be ok but still seems off, having trouble putting my life in it's hands. I got to looking at most of the watches that have smart function even the new Garmin Fenix 8 and Suunto Ocean which are new seem to have horrible issues with too many features for the money they cost. Any of them good besides the top shelf options?
Thanks for taking time to read and respond!

I am happy with Garmin G1. I like the notifications so i dont have to look for my phone all the time. Decent backup computer to my Perdix. The step counter seems accurate but I don't use most of the fitness features. Two week battery life unless diving.

Thanks, I have seen good things about those, I am 55 years old and wear contacts usually when diving any issues with reading it you think?

The watch I'm wearing. I wind it once a day. It has one feature: it reports the time. That's pretty smart.

I find it very readable, though I don't have any sight issues. If you do find it difficult, the G1 also has a "Big Numbers" mode.

Garmin G1 Solar for me for 3 years. I use it for tracking cycling and as a heart rate monitor when working out. It is an excellent-for-me dive computer and easy to read underwater (I wear contacts). I have been using the 'Garmin Cloud' for tracking my cycling for 13 years and now it tracks my diving as well. The activities upload automatically via Bluetooth and your phone.

If you use SubSurface, you can upload dives from the Garmin to SubSurface but have to use the Garmin USB charging cable to do so. SubSurface cannot use Bluetooth to upload them from Garmin, at least not yet.

The Instinct 3 was just announced with an AMOLED screen.

I imagine that the Descent G2 with the same screen is in the works and will be announced before long.

That looks like just the ticket if they upgrade the G1. Maybe I'll pause for a minute and see if that comes true!!!
