Maybe I understood wrong but I hope that the Aeris will be your backup reg to the Apeks or other, not the other way around... the black pearl is the same as the 200 but a little nicer looking. If money is not an object, itsa great reg.

Yes whatever new one I get would most likely be my primary, but have to wait and see which one I like to dive with more and also the conditions I'm diving in. Back up in here in PA, I would say I will go with the Apeks more often, especially as winter approaches but the Aeris breathed just as nicely at 104ft as it did on the top so in warm water I might switch up more often. I just bought the Aeris this year so haven't had it in cold water yet but will definitely have it in as soon as possible to see how it does.
