Any good?

You know, Tybee is where they fly paragliders... You know, open a big parachute, strap a propeller to your back, and walk up into the air...

Thinking about doing that later this week...

Yes, spearfishing is fine. We spoke with him briefly last week.

Seajay, we haven't seen the boat yet or chartered it. This is just another option for diving charter. Of course it won't be like Terry's charter, you bring your own food/drink on this one. But you do get a 3 tank dive. Bubble watchers are welcome, and I believe Terry is not taking bubble watchers this year, just the divers.

DiverDave76:
Do they cater to spearfishermen at all?

Dave

I received an email from a diver in Savannah that has used them, and they thoroughly enjoyed their service, and the 3rd dive. The other charters in the area are about the same price, maybe a little more, but offer a 2 tank dive.

I'm anxious to give them a try.

I didn't see diving referenced on the site above, do you just contact them and tell them what you are looking for... OR call and ask for diving rates? What?

BTW thanks for the tip. R

web address is www.tybeeislandcruises.com Contact is Bruce.

There's not diving info on the website, but cost is $100.00 for a three tank dive. It's not like Terry's boat, you provide your own food, Bruce doesn't. But he can take up to six divers, and takes out bubble watchers. I spoke with Bruce last week. I found out about him from Ralph at Zero Gravity in Sav., GA

Okay boat info (just spoke with Bruce) is...
50' catamaran (aluminum)
2-300 horse diesel motors
goes to 42mph
12 foot beam (whatever that means)
past a test for 37 pass.

He will take out six divers plus a few bubble watchers and crew. Divemaster can go as crew.

If you spearfish, bring your own cooler w/ice. He has one, but uses it for drinks etc...
