Well, there are wrecks we thought we found that have been found before as well.
I am sure somene over the years has seen the Trajan but didn't know what it was.
They are doing their thing and that is fine.

Nicely put John. I prefer to use the term "identified" when referring to a shipwreck that we've located instead of "discovered". Truth be told there isn't a wreck around that hasn't already been discovered by fisherman or lobsterman. They only care that it holds fish/lobsters or fouls their nets. We as divers just happen to have an interest in what that structure is on the bottom. Find a shipwreck for "The first time" and there's sure to be a hung net on it, pot warp wrapped up in it, or a lobster trawl right across the wreck. Someone else "discovered" it long before us.

Absolutely true. Remember the Lobsterboat that had his traps set all around the Dubois?
