Hello everyone...
I decided to join this list in hopes of learning about underwater photography and beginning scuba... I live on a barrier island and snorkel for shells a lot. I would love to talk to anyone else who collects shells or would like to trade them sometime... I am female, married and retired..., but not too old...:=)
Hope to hear from you and thanks for letting me learn about the ocean with you!
Sincerely,
Shellhound

hey shellhound and welcome to scuba board!!!

i am a snorkeler turned scubadiver, and i have never looked back since (well since isnt that long ago hahah i got certified two weeks ago) You should really think about changing your snorkel for a regulator- its a different world. you will never want to go back!

drop a post in the New 2 Scuba thread and let them know your there.
hope to see you around the board!

I don't do shells, but wanted to say "Welcome!" My husband made me stop collecting things long ago ;)

Heya and welcome to the Board.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

It's always nice to see people get interested in diving. There is a lot of great information here on the board. Good luck with your research and I hope that you decide to get certified soon. This way you won't have to keep returning to the surface to take a breath while checking out the shells! ;)

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Hi shellhound,

Boy are you in the right place for shells! My wife and I stayed on Fort Myers Beach a few months ago and we loved it! We came back with some beautiful shells to show. Take up SCUBA and you will never get tired of shell hunting! I wish I would of had my gear with me when we were down there. I surley bring it next time! Take care and stay safe!
