Shep’s is unique in that it’s totally devoid of life. No crawfish. No catfish. I haven’t even seen a isopod in there. Very weird.





I have encountered that with a couple systems when I was doing biota inventories. Any chance you have access to a hydrolab to get DO numbers? One thing you can do is open a can of dog food and leave it on the bottom to see if it attracts crayfish at least. I have dove Shepard a few times,but really can't remember seeing any species.

We took a hydrolab a few years ago and it flooded :(

I can ask about revisiting that. The "road" is more swamp than road right now so itll have to wait till things dry up.
