Damn...any shop with a pool seems fairly extensive.....for the midwest anyway...

I think I'll check them out next time I'm back in cincy

I am surprised there are as many shops in the Cincinnati area as there are let alone the number that have their own pool. I can think of 4 or 5 off the top of my head.

Isn't underwater world in Mainville? If thats the one I am thinking of it seemed like a fairly olarge shop, atlest larger than several others I visited. I'm anxious to hear more about your experiences with them. The one time I stopped by there (almost an hour drive from my home) I was not too impressed with the staff. I specifically went their to check out Poseidon regs as they are the only dealer in town. The lady working their didn't seem to have much to offer in the way of information and was nearly clueless on the Poseidons. I see top recall not even realizing they carried them. They did stock some nice stuff though, including Atomic, Apeks, Aqualung and of course the before mentioned Poseidon regs.

There's definitely some "variation" in the staff. On the
Underwater World web site they have a page with pictures of the staff. If I had to guess, I'd say you were talking with Linda (left pic at top). Kim is much better. I haven't seen Frank in the shop too often (when I'm there), but he's the main equipment technician in addition to being the co-owner (Linda's his wife).

You're just as likely to find one of the several instructors there and they are also very helpful. I've met them all, but Bruce was my OW instructor and Keith & Kim assisted during the confined and OW dives.
