Hi everyone,
I'm a forty something mom who hasn't been diving since before my oldest was born about 7 years ago. I'm dying to get back into the water. I've mostly been doing a lot of fishing lately, and I just bought a 26' express fishing boat.

I just bought a used Aquatica 80 for my Nikon 8008s. I plan to have it serviced by AB Sea Photo in Los Angeles. I have always wanted one. I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips or hints about using the A80. I also use a Fuji S3 Pro above water.

I'm hoping to learn something here, and also contribute if I can.

Welcome mamajan. I would like to get into underwater photography myself. Do you have any tips for me? I guess to do the specialty course would be the first step eh? :) Where would I look up camera information?

Wow, there are several ways you could go. First you have to decide on film or digital, and then on a budget. Those answers are going to help you to figure out which set up to get. There are also cameras made specifically for underwater in both film and digital. So think about those things
I have a very nice digital SLR (Fuji S3 Pro), that I will not take into the water because it would be too expensive for me to replace if it should get flooded. I bought a used housing to use with my about 12 year old film camera. I also recently bought a small digital camera and an Ikelite housing becuse I really like digital.
There are some forum topics on this site that could also help you educate yourself on the options. Good luck in your search.

Welcome to SB mamajan! I'll sure you'll do a bit of both!
