Hi,
I just got word that the four new Monastery Beach Signs have been produced and will be up by this weekend!
Here's the sign with some minor changes not included:
Monastery Beach Survival Project
There will be 4 signs. Three of the four will replace the generic brown signs that are already there and the fourth will be placed by the bathrooms on the south end of Monastery Beach.
These signs are 24" wide.
To summarize for those of you that have not followed the Monastery threads, we are doing 2 activities that are designed to make Monastery a safer place to visit.
1. There will be 2 different types of signs made. The one mentioned above is one of them and designed to replace the existing ones. The second is a larger 4' x 4' sign specifically for scuba divers and is still in the design phase and will be based on the input from our Monastery Panel Discussion that we did a few weeks ago.
2. We are producing a Monastery Video that will be posted on the Dept of Parks and Recreation's web site and on other diving related sites that will show some suggested do's and don'ts of diving at Monastery.
