Hello all! My name is Jesse and I'm also a long time lurker of Scuba Board and thought I should finally make an account. I got my Open Water Scuba Instructor rating with PADI in October of 2023 and I'm slowly making my way towards the Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating. I'm happy to finally have an account here and network as much as I can.

Hi Jesse!

Closest I've come out there, was a long road-trip from Los Angeles to Brockville Ontario Canada/St Lawrence & Lake Ontario Diving, with all my gear some five years ago. Made a stop in Plainfield some two hours north of you, to shop Dive Right in Scuba (was a lot smaller facility than I expected!).

Best most interesting & unique middle-America dive I've done was Bonne Terre Mine MO, three-and-a-half hours to your south -highly recommend it if you haven't visited/dove there yet!

Welcome to Scubaboard!

Yeah, we don't have much diving around where we are located. I've been to Bonne Terre Mine but didn't get to dive due to an injury. I took my IDC with Patrick Hammer at the Dive Rite In shop in Orland Park. I'm actually taking an Ice Diving Instructor Class next weekend at the Plainfield shop.

Very impressive, so get saving those Shekels over Winter to go Diving the Great Lakes in Summer
