My name is Mark and i am new to diving as of this year when i received my open water certification on the wreck of the islander in the st Lawrence River along with my wife. I have since dove on a few more wrecks in lake ontario and went to ohio at gilboa quarry. Slowly piecing my gear together so i don't have to rent.

Welcome, Mark! Congratulations on your certification! St Lawrence River diving is awesome (with a shout out to "Hunt's Dive Shop")! Are you affiliated with "Deep Stop Scuba", near Syracuse? I am about 4 hours south of Alexandria Bay (NY), so I have ventured that way a few times. In closing, I extend best wishes to you both! Keep safe, dive often, and have fun...!

Thanks, i was certified through aquatic world in North Syracuse, i have been renting from them and st Lawrence scuba co in Watertown to be able to try different gear before purchasing. I have talked with hunts dive shop as well.

Welcome Central New Yorker! You skipped over some great diving heading to Gilboa. Figure out diving Lake Erie. We got some great wrecks. I too love diving the St. Lawrence. Try to get there 2-5 times a year. Have fun! When I started diving, I used Aquatic World (many moons ago when Paul owned/ran it).
