Don Robarge met with representatives of the Coastal Commission and Turner Construction this morning. There will soon be a sign at the gate with the new hours. The gate will now be open from one hour before sunrise until one hour after sunset. Don will be reporting back to the commision with daily reports of the amount of use. Thanks Don. Everyone who dives Marineland appreciates your diligent work on our behalf.

That is great news! glad to hear it is open and open for longer! Max, thanks for all of your help and keeping us abreast to all of this juicy info!

I got there a half hour before sunrise this morning and it was still locked. I left at 9:00 and nobody had come yet. It didn't matter, as the trail is still plowed under in places. I just pulled my little red wagon through the hole in the fence. :)

We're talking about the old gate right?
I haven't been there since they started construction.
I MISS the place soooo much.
Andy

No wth the old gate is no longer used by the public or divers. The new parking area is down Seawolf off of Beachview. It's a nice long walk from there.

John

Thanks John.
I' got to come back and dive here again!!!

I drove by there on the way to Malaga Cove with a few newbies today... I can't even IMAGINE how you would GET down to the site... Its all dirt construction.

I will have to go back and look harder.

Hmm...I'm planning to go back there this comming Saturday.
It sounds like I better have a backup plan!

there is a new way down around the construction. you drive past the old entrance (going east) on Palos verdes drive, then make your first right, following the signs for beach access...
