Hey all!

Just recently heard about this online community from a friend of mine! He frequents this site although I don't know his user name--I must admit I am not creative at all when it comes to usernames, just used my first! Anyway I am excited to become a part of this community! I recently moved from California to New Jersey and am going to start working for a dive shop. I was massivly inspired by my friend's passion for diving (I love diving too, but I was truly amazed by him) that I want to be as passionate as he is! Looking forward to reading more in what seems like a great online community!!

Welcome to the board and to the east coast! This board has plenty of experienced divers and diving educators alike so if you ever have a question, don't hesitate to ask! If you want to become passionate about diving.....just dive and it will come naturally. :) Anyway, welcome to the board! Enjoy! :)

From one who has gone the other way...enjoy my share of the pizza! That breaks my heart to say, you have no idea!

Kelpmermaid: I was thinking the exact same thing. We get the good weather, Janna gets the good pizza.

Janna: Which exit?

Signed,
Another Jersey to California transplant.

Janna,

Welcome to SCUBA Board. I too am new to the board. I've been viewing for a while, but today I finally registered. Saddly, it was the news of the death of Casey Parent at Ducth Springs that finally pushed me to join. I had to add to the thread.

Welcome to the world of SCUBA. You woun't be sorry you did it. Just remember that safety and knowing you limitations is the most important thing. Listen to that little voice in your head, or voices a the case may be.

I am just to your east in Long Island, New York. I just got my son certified and he is also full of excitement about diving.

Good Luck in you new location, your new job, and throughout your live. Stay well and dive safe.

Bill

Just wanted to say thanks for such a warm welcome!! Now that I have left all my friends in California and have to make new ones out here it's really nice to hear encouragement from people in this community!

Janna,

From one Jerseyan to another (however new you may be), welcome! So tell us, where exactly did you come from and where did you move to? Details, details, .... LOL!

David

Glad to meet people who are passionate bout diving. WHy move to NJ? We have so many excellent dive sites along California coast! Come back.:)

The pizza really isn't that good.
You have to go to NY to get the real pizza.
And while you're there pick up some bagels.
