If they can be rebuilt I would be tempted to strip them down to bare brass and have them chromed again. Probably pretty easy these days.

Why the black plastic hand wheels? I've got a couple of spare J-valves, but I've always preferred metal. It just looks more vintage.

They have the best J valve mechanism with better seat material than the earlier valves.

The metal and plastic hand wheels are interchangeable.

You may want to rethink the new valve thing. Last price I saw on the double manifold was near $800 and the single is at least half that. Mostly used by the military and low production = high price.

There are tons of used ones on ebay cheap, get the ones with the black plastic hand wheels. All you gain new is pretty shiny unscratched chrome.

$800? I only paid $100 apiece for my 3 NOS USD manifolds that I bought here on SB! I knew I was getting a bargain, but I had no idea how good a bargain it was! I shoulda bought more!:D

Paladin, the $800 is not a realistic retail price. I'm sure USD just charges the Feds that because the Feds just pass the bill on down for the sheep to pay each April 15th, along with everything else we get shafted on.

The problem is very few divers other than the vintage divers want single outlet double manifolds that is why you see them on ebay cheap. I just bought two used one for $15 each.

Now this is a KNOB.

And it's pretty groovy when you get one with an 88 underneath it for twenty bucks.

Straight out of the vibrating machine all original parts except three O rings, I think.

Comes with optional psi device port. Very common valve.

Please excuse photo flurry, I am doing SB Photo Posting Specialty.
Thank you.

That's a Dacor valve you've got there. I've got a pair just like it, except mine are K-valves. I even remember seeing a doubles manifold somewhere with those knobs.

Like HIM?

Crap photo, getting dark, rushing, flustered. Good no diving tonight.
Interestingly the green reflection is from the faded green banana hammock I'm wearing.
Yuk.
