Hello from the mountains of SW Colorado. I've been reading the forums for a week or so and finally decided to join. I got my OW cert a few years ago and haven't had an opportunity to do anything with it since, but I'm headed for Thailand in December. I'm looking forward to taking a refresher course and then Advanced Open Water while I'm there. Really, I'm so excited that I can't sit still while I'm thinking about it.

This seems like a great community and I'm likely to plague you with questions after I've mined the forums for what's already been written. I'm considering gearing up before I head for Thailand, but I'll be in the frigid waters of the Pacific in Chile a month later and I can't afford both warm and cold water outfits. So I'm just reading up on the gear forums for now.
