Hello all,

I stumbled across this forum when researching a new dive computer, and decided to join. Looks like a real resource with a lot of wonderful people.

I have not dived since 2002, and the battery in my Aladin Pro (Uwatec) has died on me. No time to fix the battery bc it takes at least two weeks, and by then I'll be in Sharm el Sheikh. Looks like I'll buy a new one there. Currently obsessing about which one to buy. I got a good offer on a Suunto D4, but I really want the Mares Icon - hmm ... :crafty:

I've been diving in Norway, the Canaries (Tenerife) and Hurghada (Red Sea), and I look forward to diving in Natal, South Africa this summer.

Mostly interested in sea creatures, underwater scenery and wrecks. Apart from that, I'm just your average open water diver.

That's it - ;)

Thanks!

And I just got an unexpected offer by mail - a Galileo Luna with transmitter at a very good price. :)

PS oops - looks like I need to set up a signature.

Welcome! My wife has a lot of family from Norway. I think from Stavanger mostly. I hope some day to get over there to visit, it looks like such a beautiful place!

I'm sure you will love Stavanger, it's a beautiful town. And everything else, of course. ;)

Try to avoid coming in July though, because it tends to rain a lot - especially on the coast. Summer nights are bright in June, and in the North the sun shines all through the night.

And the natives are very friendly :angrymob: (<- just kidding)
