Howdy everyone!

New member from East Texas, located in Tyler but looking to move to Costa Rica next summer or so.

Currently Advanced Open Water / Nitrox Diver through NAUI and looking to get my Rescue soon and then continue with training and everything to eventually become a DM and Instructor Assistant, wanting to do that for a bit and then obtain Instructor.

Recently dove Catalina Islands in Costa Rica at the first of October and will be headed back for a two-week long trip in December.

Have already used the forums to do some research on multiple things and finally decided to make an account to be able to post and join some discussions!

Welcome...

For some lower viz diving Athens and Terrell both have scuba parks that have quite a bit of fun available for all skill levels. A great way to work on your skills when you can't get to bluer waters.

Terrell is a lot of fun, that is where I did my Open Water training. I grew up right outside of Athens and have family there still, so will be venturing to Athens Scuba Park pretty soon.

Definitely great places to work on skills. Before it gets too cold, I am hoping I can get out to the start park and do some diving there.

While shallow, the Comal River in New Braunfels is a fun dive and at @ 72 degrees year round it makes for a nice getaway during the winter months.
