Hi guys,

I am off to the red sea at xmas and I am planning to get my own BC to use before then and due to budget and prefferance its come down to a toss up between theb Cressi S111 and the Cressi J113.

So what do you guys think of these BC's and which one would you go for.

Thanks in advance

Sam

Sam,
I have the S111 and love it. It's comfortable, very adjustable, well balanced, and I love the way the bladder doesn't squeeze the diver when it's inflated. Some have complained about the pockets being too big, but I really don't care. The only time a big pocket is a problem to me is if I fill it them too full of junk I don't need during the dive anyway.

I don't know much about the J series BCs. I think they are the ones that have the 'flight control system' that just didn't feel right. I tend to really like the power inflator on my shoulder.

Im intrested in the cressi s111 also any other feedback????????

Yep, the J series has the flgiht control system and I know of someone that has one. I really didn't care for it but he says it's ok. Of course he has a major bouyancy problem that has since occured. The major thing that I didn't like about it was the oral inflator, it is a pocket and you have to dig for it..could be designed better.
If you are thinking about the S-111 have you looked at the S-114? Do a search here, I posted a file that was sent directly from Cressi. What it boils down to is that the 114 is a combination of back and front loader so you get the best of both worlds. The file never really says that but I did get a confirming email from Cressi.
I was considering both BC's but ended up going with Zeagle.

I am fairly new to diving - so I don't know what specifics you are wanting to know. If you post some questions you may have I'd be happy to take a stab at answering them.
