I bought the suit from Sean at
Diver's Cove and Rescue Outfitters - Cleveland Ohio's NAUI SCUBA Diving Center He custom measured me and ordered the suit, they stitched it up and now it is mine all mine!
Sean sells both diving concepts and DUI.
I dove both Trilam and Neoprene suits before making my decision. Diving both madeit easy. For me compressed neoprene was the better product.
1. It has insulation value alone. I rarely dive in water over 75 degrees. 65-75 suit alone. 55-65 suit with long underwear. 45-55 suit with one layer of fleece. Less than 45 long underwear and fleece. I had diving concepts add a warm neck collar which provides neoprene to cover the neck seal awesome addition.Next week in fl i will dive dry with no undies in 70 degree water. This comig summer I will dive deep wrecks witha single layer. Can't Wait!
2. Comfort The suit a a touch of stretch to it. This seems to make the squeeze on my legs feel much more even and gentle. The trilam suits seemed to pinch and crush from time to time. The getleness of the squeeze helps me to dive with less air in my suit, this means less ballast. With no underwear compressed neo suit and ss plate with an al 80 i need 4 pounds. love it!
3. Stretch. the stretchin the suit makes movement much more simple. Doing valve drills in the compressed neoprene is much easier because I have a greater range of motion.
4. Durability. the compressed neoprene is tough.
The only disadvatage I have seen is that the crushed neoprene is heavy when wet.
Happy shopping!
