I am going from HP 100's to a set of LP 108's. The LP's fit my frame better and I like the option of mixed gas.

My question is: What is the best way to calculate the bouyancy change? I am a pound or two heavy with the 100's, I wear no other weights with them. Looking at the data on the 100's I see that they are -7.5 a piece empty, I have them doubled so I am looking at -15. The faber 108's are +3.4 empty, so in the big picture, I am looking at +21.5# difference in bouyancy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Breath them down and see what happens. Add weight as needed to stay down. Do it in full config. Work out allot to carry the extra weight. Oh ya watch your breathing rate go up too.

Does your local shop not offer hp fills? Short of this limitation, you can carry whatever you want in a hp tank.

I don't link the HP tanks because they are harder to get filled on boats and react poorly to Mixed Gas. I love them, but I am getting back into more techie stuff.

What I am planning is to get 500#'s filled in them and go goof off in 20fsw and see where I need to be.

I can understand the fill difficulty issue. HP tanks do not react poorly to any mix.
