Haven't seen much rain in OC, but the winds are kicking up right on cue. It's starting to look pretty messy out there right now.

Well, the ground swell energy continues to fade, but it looks like the onshore flow is starting to kick up again. That should whip up more of that short-period wind slop tonight ... so who knows what it'll look like in the AM (the swell models are useless for predicting this stuff). Best guess for Laguna is that it will be similar to today, divable but 2-3ft lumpy-bumpy mess.

Your best bet might be to head over to Casino Point in the AM ... that is, if the Express is running. Anyway, good luck if you decide to head out.

... not to mention that it's just started pouring down rain again. Some things are just not meant to be

Hey, the ocean actually looks pretty nice this am. The winds weren't that bad last night. What little winds swell was whipped up looks like it started fading fast after 2am. The high pressure looks like it's moved on shore, so there's some offshore flow that's helping to knock down all the remaining surface bump. Skies are bright and clear too. Basically, it's gorgeous topside. I'm not sure about all the rain, though. We did get quite a bit down here last night.
