Short answer, I don't recommend it. There are some things you need to learn before you do your night dive. You need to be very comfortable with your diving skills before we add pitch black illuminated only by what your dive light can illuminate and deal with the "what was that large 7 foot creature that just wizzed by me out of the dark? (sea lion) or "why is my buddy pulling on my fin....wait a minute, my buddy is beside me! What the !!!!" (sea lion again). You need to learn how you are going to communicate using your lights etc.can a diver with just OW do a night dive?
