Hey Darin,
I'm new to diving as well and live down here in Bridgman.I only about 5 dives as well, but am leaving on the 29th for a week on a live aboard in the Bahamas, and will be doing my Aow while on board.
You definitly have to try the dry suit if you plan on doing any diving in Lake Michigan. There are a lot of cool shipwrecks in some shallow waters that are fantastic. There is also a meet and greet coming up in April or may at gilboa quary in Ohio.
You can meet a lot of cool divers at that event.
Hope to hear back from you.

Hey superstar, was reading your reply to Darin and I am also new to diving and would really like to hook up with some people that want to do some Lake Michigan diving. I live down here in Bridgman, and do most of my diving through JR aquatics in Niles,Mi. We have some pretty cool inland lakes down here that they dive.I'm going to be going with them on a live aboard in the Bahamas on the 29th and can't wait. hope to here back from you.
Lets go diving
KHeggen Happy diving!

We can hook up for some diving this summer. We also have great mountain biking at Owassippi.
