Looking for a buddy to go diving with. I have a 24' Sea Ray on a trailer if that helps. Prefer someone with experience in diving and gear, I am going to be buying my stuff in the near future.

Thanks and let's go diving!!

You provide the boat?! That will get more bites here than you want to see including me. Let me know when and where you want to dive, LOL.

Welcome, I know that you will find experienced dive buddies here.

Just when I was looking for a NEW dive buddy! (Sorry Dave, he has a BOAT...I guess you're OUT)

No really, Tom in Frankenmuth here, welcome to the board and to the wrecking crew. We have been discussing getting a boat for the last year or so, but have not managed to do so just yet. Diving Higgins Lake would be a LOT easier from a boat as you wouldn't have to make the 'Death March' across the sand flats that 300 yards or so to get to waist deep water where you could swim. We'll keep you in mind for the next time we want to dive at Higgins!

As for the gear, there is lots available here on the scubaboard for reasonable prices, and if you are certified, rentals at the local dive shops are a lot cheaper than buying your own. I can fix you up with a couple of pieces depending on what kind of diving we are doing. Dave and I have plenty of extra kit between us, if we are not diving with the ponies rigs in deep water.

Again, welcome to the Crew. I look forward to meeting and diving with you!

Welcome to this screwed up section of the web....errr....maybe it's just this little sub-forum....

Anyway, greetings from OH.

Feel free to post questions and ask away...there's a person or two here with some experience...Have no fear, if you have a boat, they will come.

Glad you found us! This is a great place to spend your SI, but watch out, it's addictive!

Gosh and a boat too.... have fun with all your new found friends, who are sooooooooo jealous of the boat ;)

Welcome Kramer,

Yup, like Brian says. With a boat you will have more dive buddies than you can handle.

You will even get a few around here who will unceremoniously dump their current dive buddy just to avoid a little walk. ;)

Yeah Tom, but where else are you going to get another dive buddy that can take you scuba diving and arrange to have the front end of your pickup upgraded all in the same day. ;)

Lets see how many divers and one topside passenger can we squeeze onto that? we going by senority if there isnt enough room or by total dives. or who has the most cash to grease kramers palms with.

It figures that the guy with the most disposable cash, well other than that rich pumpkin farmer in Frankenmuth and maybe diverbrian, would start throughing around the cash.
