New diver- I'm Ed, hello everyone

Hi there. I'm new to the board and have just begun taking a course to get my open water certification. I got my feet wet by doing a discover scuba dive in Barbados, and I can't wait to learn more and finish the course. I'm from NJ, so I may consider planning to dive in the local area - wreck dives and stuff. My instructor does this and he says it's cool. Any other people out there in a similar situation -- taking the course for the first time and want to eventually dive in this area?
