Hello

My wife and I just finished our classroom sessions and we will be doing our first dives over the next two weekends. After next weekend we should be officially certified as divers. I found this board and am hoping it will be a good resource for any questions we might have. Hopefully there are some other divers in our area too (Pensacola, FL) willing to exchange tips on good locations, etc. We are also considering what equipment to buy, and hopefully we will cut through the hype and decide what items are best to own vs. rent.

Hey Archer, Gulf Breeze here. I dive a lot but mainly fresh water... Am looking to do some salt water stuff though. welcome

Glad you found us early. Wish I had, but hey - we do what we can. Have fun on your dives, and don't worry about challenges. They work out.

ditto and welcome to SB!

I dive the panhandle constantly, mostly shore dives and spring dives. Shoot me a line with any questions on locations and info. Feel free to take advantage of me being a free guide as well :)
