This is a post for anyone looking for a local dive club in the Houston area. CHUM (CIty of Houston Underwater Mariners) is a new(ish) club, non-profit, non-dive shop-affiliated. We're a sociable bunch and have monthly meetings at the Stag's Head Pub (next is April 21st).

We have already had a number of trips and have plans for lots more - we like to keep a mix of local and more far flung trips. We have a trip to Roatan coming up(full, sorry), trips to Media Luna in Mexico, Bonne Terre Mine, Flower Gardens, and a chance to try out commerical diving equipment and techniques. Past glories include the Valhalla missile silo (probably do that again in the winter), Comal River and San Marcos waterfall dives and a Tsunami relief event.

We've also got a small but growing tek group - most making the transition from rec to tec.
