I know you've already picked up on metric but I thought I'd repeat how important that is for people living in the 21st century 🤣

I thought you'd like to know that the GF Low slider moves when the GF High slider is adjusted. The actual numerical value doesn't seem to change but this doesn't inspire much confidence.

Unfortunately I suspect the requirement for an internet connection will be an issue for many people.

How have you calibrated your tool? People are almost certain to compare the generated ascent profiles with those from their favorite software and will regard any significant differences as a bug.
Hi David - a new version have been recently uploaded. All the cases I've tried and compared with results from MultiDeco and Baltic are VERY similar (if not exactly the same).

The new version now implements both metric and imperial units (which I have taken as a priority). You can use the "easy button" at the top right corner to switch units, or set your default preference in the config menu (click on you name on the menu on the left and go to "My Profile"

Thanks!

Nice work, @pstrika! I especially like the tissue compartment animation.

Would you consider a feature which lets the last stop be 20 ft?
Thanks!. Definitely yes to the last stop to be 20ft (that's how I mostly dive).

A new version with some bug fixes and support for metric units has been uploaded.

Good news: the new version that I've just uploaded supports metric! You can use the easy button on the top right, or go to your profile (menu on the left, click on your user name and set the default system)

I've got the feedback of the GF slider. The reason why the scale moves but not the number is because by definition GFL always must be smaller that GFH. So if you move GFH the tool will prevent you from choosing a GFL that's higher that GFH - and that's why the slider changes the scale, but the number remains.

UPDATES on Version 5.3.0
- now supports metric
- some minor display bugs were fixed
- added gas consumption estimations (bottom of the screen)

A quick comment on the requirement for internet: the tool was mostly developed for training purposes. That's the reason for the tissue animation, the what if..? cases, etc. I clearly understand that some people may do planning on the boat or while at the dive site and I respect that. In my cases (living in south FL) internet availability is not a real problem. Again, MultiDeco, Baltic (and some other tools) are great resources (which I will continue using), but I see there's value on a graphical tool that will allow you to have that "day before diving" analysis done (which I do a lot).

More features will come live soon (set last stop to 6m/20ft, save favorites gases, save dive profiles, export to pdf, etc)

Happy diving.

The interface is very nice.

Some feedback:
  • I am unable to set the mix I want – e.g., 9/90 (it gets stuck at 9/85)
  • When changing GF High, the slider for GF Low also moves (although the numbers do not change, it's quite confusing)
  • If you switch to metric, you lose all information including defined gases, GFs, etc.
What I really like:
  • what-ifs showing 2 plans together
  • the tissue loading movie

Thank!

There's no reason for GFhi to be necessarily higher that GFlo. In fact for air dives I typically use 80/70.

The rationale that I adopted following Doolette is to do GF Low = GF High * 0.83 from the average of the bN and bHe factors.

What is your rationale for 80/70 on air? Genuinely curious.
