I don't recall this sideways growing tree at Deep Hole last last time I was there. Must have missed it:D

the image is fuzzy but i think it is a mass of Coonstail. It amazes me how fast the plant life grows at spring lake.

Don't tell the guys on "Ax-men" it's cypress underwater...they'll try to LOG it! (And probably drown in the attempt!)

I got it today.

Did yall see the episode of AxMen where the guy almost kills himself on the hookah system? Or where the fathers tank falls off? Or where the father doesn't plug in his inflator hose and freaks out? No way these guys are certified. sorry for the thread jacking now back to your regularly scheduled posts.....

I got it today.

Actually, I think I am the one who got it today. Mass of Coontail that came off the slope between Deep Hole and the Landing had hung up on the USFWS package. The current from the main spring was strong enough to keep it from sinking.

Yes, that makes sense as the one I removed looked smaller than what was pictured. There seemed to be a few clumps moving through.

The one I got was a good ten/twelve feet long. Not sure that I got all of it though. Great day for diving in Spring Lake!
