New Cypress Tree Growing at Aquarena

I don't recall this sideways growing tree at Deep Hole last last time I was there. Must have missed it

I've seen this several times on the camera, but I always forgot to look when I'm at deep hole to see what it is.

the image is fuzzy but i think it is a mass of Coonstail. It amazes me how fast the plant life grows at spring lake.

If you're talking about the father/son team you are correct. Those guys make scuba diving look dangerous!

I got it today.

Actually, I think I am the one who got it today. Mass of Coontail that came off the slope between Deep Hole and the Landing had hung up on the USFWS package. The current from the main spring was strong enough to keep it from sinking.

Yes, that makes sense as the one I removed looked smaller than what was pictured. There seemed to be a few clumps moving through.

The one I got was a good ten/twelve feet long. Not sure that I got all of it though. Great day for diving in Spring Lake!
