We used that entry when we were there last January and found it to be much easier. We were going to do the swim out when we saw a couple of turtles enjoying a meal, so we dropped down to watch, then started the dive from that point. Found them on the way back, right where we left them!

The important question is this; What time of the morning did you have to get there to find the pier that empty?!

Erik
Turtles do seem to like having little turtle parties there in the sandy shallows! I believe I got there around 8:00 AM that morning, maybe a few minutes before, so not too bad.

Just wanted to let OP know how much I've appreciated his videos (and his wife's patience with him in them :)). My fam is prepping for our first week in Bonaire at the end of the month, and they've really gotten us excited.

Thanks so much MB! She’s definitely a saint.

Kevin and Liz,

I really should have done this last year, but I didn't, and I did not want another year to go by without posting about your videos. We took our first trip to Bonaire in August and as you can imagine we did our research, which included buying the reef smart guide, reading through multiple posts here and watching a TON of videos. Once we stumbled upon your videos we were hooked! Our trip to Bonaire was a huge success and has now become our favorite dive location and we are scheduled to go back in April.

We really found your videos insightful and truly helpful on how to prepare ourselves so that we didn't have that feeling of being unsure of ourselves. While we have had experience shore diving from Cayman Brac this was a completely different experience, and you gave us the confidence to dive marked and unmarked sites.

If I was to give you a true testament to your efforts in creating great content it would be the multiple times that others approached us asking about our trekking poles or fin keepers! I really wanted to express our gratitude for you both in the amount of time that I am sure it takes to make your videos and let you know that they are really appreciated.

I thought about sending you a DM, but my hope was by posting a comment, someone else would view some of your videos and have some great takeaways like we did.

Thank you so much!!! If I ever see either of you in Bonaire, I hope I have the chance to buy you a beer, coffee or dinner!

PS, we took the leap and subscribed!
