The critters look interesting, the grommet arrangement reminds me of some of the commercial gear we have. I may have to take a good look at the things if the prices don't scare me off.
The dang dollar has lost about 40% against the Scandinavian currencies over the past few years.

Did I read that right, five lbs positively buoyant?
Yep, looks like 4.8 lbs buoyant (for the small one) when its uninflated, that seems like a heck of a lot, especially considering an 8 lb plate. I wonder if it reads any differently in Swedish... ;)
Too bad it's approved to only 656' though. :crafty:

Anyone been to the Beneath the Sea yet and see these new BC's.

I can't believe no-one has any additional info on these BC's beyond the website.

The concept looks sound. You can even use the wings with just a BP.

I have thought for years that a harness that distributes the weight to your waist would be a great design. I know many BC's attempt to do this, but it seems that Poseidon has reaaly put a lot o research into doing it right.

I am really interested to know the pricing.

Same here... I am very interested in the bc but cannot find any additional information..

I read an article about a huge exhibition here in europe where poseidon actually presented their Besea but no prices or availabilty were revealed.

The website seems pretty done and you can already download a users guide and all that stuff... so the release must be close, right?

I have contacted Poseidon, and they said a regional rep will get back to me.

I will let you know what I find out.

Michael

I saw the intro for these BCs/BP/W at BTS. Very Impressive! The quality of the BC is up to typical Poseidon high standards. The ability to customize at every level, from the lumbar support to the "any position" D rings. All of the connecting links have the same spacing horizontal, vertical, or diagnal. 20 levels of adjustment on the backplate to fit any diver perfectly. The material is quality, quality, quality!

They would not talk prices, so I expect that they may be a little on the high side; but they are definately worth it. More releases are on the way shortly as they made their premiere at BTS. These are worth a serious look if you are looking for a new BC/ BP/W.

Enjoy the ride

It looks an awful lot like a backpacker's pack suspension system.. the kind you'd find on a Gregory or Arc'teryx pack designed to carry 40+ pounds.

In other words, it looks exactly like something that was designed to carry a heavy load on land while wearing a T-shirt.
