Not exactly...
My local dive shop sells and services BC's from 9-companies:

- Atomic Aquatics
- Cressi
- Halcyon
- Mares
- Oceanic
- Poseidon
- Scubapro
- Sherwood
- Zeagle

I will of course, discuss this with my local shop, but would love to have some recommendations from the forum. I would like to have my equipment locally serviced, so buying a product from one of these companies
It really helps if you read the whole post...:shakehead:

I like you, used to dive a Scubapro BC with an Air2. After I stated diving with a BP/W for work I decided to replace my personal one. I got a Halcyon Traveler. I use a long hose on my primary and have the secondary under my chin. Its pretty much the same as the Air2 because you still give your primary away. It has pockets for 12lbs of weight that is not ditchable. You can still use a weight belt with it. I went with the non pro version because of the weight savings for travel. It works well for me and I recommend it. I'm 6'4" and weight 255lbs.

I also dove with a ScubaPro Classic until last year. I wore it out over about 500 dives and wanted to replace it with a quality BCD that would last. I did a lot of research and decided on a ScubaPro Glide Plus. It seemed to have all of the good features of the original Classic along with some newer, better features. The glide has an integrated weight system that could be left unused if you want to use a weight belt. It has 2 usable pockets. It also has 2 trim weight pockets on the back. you can get it with the air2 or the balanced inflator system. I personally don't like the air2 for 2 reasons-when I dive in other places, there is no option for repairs should a problem develop. the second reason is that the inflator hose for the Air2 is not a standard size(I know there is an adapter available for about $35) . The non-standard hose size means that if you need to change regulators(ie, borrow one during repairs) you have another size.fit issue. These 2 problems come into play if you are on vacation, on a live aboard, etc. I have experienced both of these problems before. I find it easier to just use an octopus.
