I am the owner of new dive shop in Austin TX. We are NAUI affliated, have started classes, getting some good traction with our website and advertisement, have had success selling gear to the local divers, and have been approached by many divers asking about our upcoming trips.

Here's the problem, I would like to organize our first TWO trips but I am green as to the process & locations (airfare, rooms, percentages and what's a good comp ratio, and who is currently doing a good comp ratio.) I'm trying to start with something simple, that gives me a good opportunity to understand how the game is played without being bushwhacked.

If any dive shop owners, agents, resorts would like to email or PM info my way, I would appreciate it.

Any advice the scubaboard masses send my way . . . much thx.

Most dive shops I have seen are affiliated with an independent travel agent who actually arranges most of their trips (Outside of a periodic scheduled FG trip). I speak only as a long time frequent customer of dive shops, but I think your best bet would be to talk with local travel agents and work out an arrangement.

Thanks for all of the PM's you have sent me so far. It's been very encouraging.
Keep the PM's coming, I'd like to hear from more resorts and agents, directly!

HAPPY DIVING! RoyalScuba.com
