There is a shop called Dive Space, just down from my resort in Chalong, that specializes in Japanese gear. I stopped in and didn't recognize any of the brands (but lots of pink and white). I asked the sales gal if the owner was Japanese and she said "No...Korean." Go figure

PS: All the gear was very expensive.
Yes, Korean owned, their main brand on offer is Gull. Good quality, especially Asians love it, in all kinds of fancy designs and colours. IMO overpriced though. On Phuket Tusa is represented by Dive Collection, next to Karon postoffice (which is in Kata).

They also have a full range of the Halcyon line so I assume they are their distributor in Phuket as well. I spoke with Tusa's office in Bangkok and they said they don't have a distributor in Phuket at the moment (maybe Dive Collection is closed?) and if I wanted anything I would have to order from them directly.

The Karon post office is in Kata...makes complete sense, it would be too logical to put it in say...Karon.

Kata is part of Tambon Karon.
