I am in the market for a new regulator and was pricing brands and shops around Phuket, when I happened to come across a Lazada offer of a complete A-L Mikron setup, including first, second, and octo stages, an A-L SPG, and reg carrying case for 23,000 baht (US$ 740). I thought this was a pretty good price considering on Amazon, the same set without the SPG ($150) and carrying case ($25) is $840. I contacted the Lazada seller directly, which turned out to be an authorized A-L dealer in Phuket and we arranged to meet at Aquamaster to complete the purchase. I think this was a pretty good deal, considering the price of dive equipment here in Thailand and the fact that I needed the gear now and can't wait until Thaidex in a couple months.

Now just need to pick-up a new computer...probably a Suumto Zoop Novo.

How much is the Legend package?
You should ask them to include i300 as a complete package?
Reg bag necessary? You have to remove all the hoses first! You can easily pick up similar size bag in Thailand for at least half the price!

Use a lunchbox.

I don't know anything about the mikron but if it's anything like the apeks flight, don't do it. What about a used rig and get it serviced. Old scubapro are easily rebuildable and are great.

Nothing like the Flight. I own 3 full sets plus some spares. Obviously I am a fan.

Not familiar with the SPG or bag.

I use exclusively Apeks. Flight?
Not my cup of tea but then there are many ways to make tea!!!

Cheers.

The Mikron is a simple no thrills reg. It is a step up from the Calypso and very similar to the Core. It is reliable and works just fine for tropical divers. I’ serviced several and had no issues with them. I don’t have an AL catalog in front of me to check prices. It seems the offer you have seems fair.

I just hate all the plastic and the proprietary regulators. How do you switch hoses?

Import duty tends to push the price up in Asia except HK.
There is even 7% sale tax in Singapore.

Weird seeing everyone wants to dive in Asia.
