Hello All you divers,
I have currently joined and just wanted to say hi. Also to say anyone wanting to dive in the San Diego area please let me know. I am pretty new to the area and always looking for new dive buddies. Also does anyone know information about the Oceanic glo data plus dive computer. I am looking to get it but would like some feed back. :D;)

Hi there!!! I'm in the LA area, but I might try to make another run down to San Diego and dive at Wreck Alley one of these days. Don't know squat about the dive comp that you're asking about though.

You may want to peruse the computers/instruments section of the forum for info on that computer. Very handy that search function ;)

By the by, I recently purchased a TUSA IQ-700 to replace my Aeris Atmos 2. I prefer the Atmos, but I got the TUSA really cheap. The Atmos presents the data in a very clear an convenient manner. For instance, the Atmos gives you a N load graph AND surface interval time...the TUSA gives you a graph, but you have to calculate your own interval time from your in-n-out times. The Atmos series have been replaced with the XR series.

I dive a Oceanic Versa Pro and my best dive buddy has the little brother whatever they call it. I only dive it because I have it and I won the other in a raffle. I don't think I will rush out for another one if this one gets hit by a bus. The interface is clunky and the software is by all means worthless to use. The only thing it gives me is a headache.

Welcome to socal, there is a very active and friendly group of divers here. At the end of the month there is a 'Dive In' going on in La Jolla shores, this is a great great chance to meet a lot of people and get some dives in with all sorts of great people. Check it out here: SoCal Dive-In - January 2009 Dive & BBQ - La Jolla, CA - The Dive Matrix Forums

And welcome to scubaboard!
