I have had my first 9 dives on Milln and Flynn reefs on the Great Barrier Reef last week and all I can say is "why didn't I do this before". I am officially in love :cupid:

I had some really great dives with Pro Dive Cairns all averaging 58 mins returning with 80bar, viz was about 25m, water 27 degrees. Heaven... Planning my advanced course - September and want to join the Reserve Navy Divers.

Thanks everyone on here for all the quality posts as it helped me heaps picking fins etc before going up there.

Congratulations! I take it you enjoyed your first dives?

Be sure to keep at it between now and September.

Pete

Thanks Pete.

I'm looking to Join the Navy Diver (reserves) in Sydney as soon as they open that up I'm going for it. I might sound OTT but I have never loved anything as much as I love diving. :D

My mate is a diver master in the UNSW dive club so i'll prob join there but diving in winter BRRRR.

Anyone feel free to PM me if you're in the Syd area or with tips ;)

Katie :daisy:

Careful about doing something you love for a living - very quick way to turn fun into work!

Glad you are having a blast though.

hmm, good point Rhone Man.

What do you do for work?

Went for my first shore dive on the weekend @ Shelley Beach Manly :)

Oh hey thanks Valhalla + apologies (still very new to these forums :confused4: )
