HI Guys,

What are the main differences between a Nemo Sport and the ordinary Nemo?

That is kind of a big question. I think the best place for you to start is compare them on our website at www.mares.com. One of the main differences is the Nemo has a freediving category, the nemo sport does not. Otherwise the Nemo obviously looks different, utilizes a different button configuration, and the algorithyms are minutely different. Both are great computers / watches. I think it is going to boil down to personal preference. If you have specific questions please post back and I'll respond promptly.

2. Ascent Rate Digital Indicator
3. Automatic Altitude Adjustment <= The Nemo Sport will sense the altitude?

Jeremy,

Nemo sport does not have an "uncontrolled ascent" feature. The Nemo will "lock" the diver our for 24 hours if an uncontrolled ascent occurs. This feature can be disabled.

Ascent rate on both watches is viewed in a bar graph. Neither shows a numeric indicator.

Nemo Sport automatically calculates Altitude. Nemo does not.

If my memory serves me correct the Nemo Sport is an 8 tissue and Nemo is an 11 tissue sampling algorithym. I am not a physicist but I personally feel this is a negligible difference.
