Has or does anyone visit Nelson Ledges for scuba diving? Any info would be great. Going to visit family up that way and thought about checking it out.

I haven't but my buddies did dive it Memorial Day weekend. They said the viz was horrible and that there wasn't really anything to see. They were the only divers there and they also said there was a bunch of "hippies" everywhere.

Thanks for the response. That was pretty much what I had expected. Have not been there in years, but never to swim, just hike the trails. I have to think the water is cold compared to here in VA??? Had low 80's surface temp. last weekend. In-laws will not even visit us here in VA during the summer months, too hot for them. I don't visit them, during the winter months. Left that weather 18 years ago and have never looked back.
