NELD Nov.2 get-together Pics and report

Was good to see old NELD members, and meet some new ones. Shellbird baked an unbelievable cake. It was hard for her to cut it. We ended up with a 300.00 tab by 9pm... and then the people staying longer started a new one .

Okay, so I got hung up at work, as usual.

I called John Harvards at 9:30 and the hostess said people were still there... when I got there at 10 everyone had gone home. ;-0 Are you guys really getting that old, you no longer party late into the night?

I'm so bummed.

heh heh... I think that might have been a good idea however! A few of us went our separate ways after...

Now that I've got a good 5 hours of sleep in, it's time to go rescue my buddies truck from the Denny's parking lot and get rid of my un-planned house guests!

I only spent one day with you guys but I truly miss you all. I wish I could have come up for your party.

I've lost, at least temporarily, my daytime access to message boards so haven't posted much lately. Hopefully this will change eventually.

Please keep me in the loop for any expedition plans.

Okay, so I got hung up at work, as usual.

Mer, sorry we missed you! It was by about 10mins or so! Most people left by 9 or shortly after. Four of us that were left (shellbird, pkatzman, fmike, & m'self) braved the elements for another 50mins, but we just couldn't intimidate the crowds any longer. Four just doesn't make the same impact as 15 or so.

On the bright side, there should be another shindig in the near future, to pass out the t-shirts and compensate for lack of diving (for most of us anyway). So you (and whoever didn't make it yesterday) better make that one! Coming to think of it, with our history of plan-making, we should probably start arguing over the dates now. We'll probably come to a consensus right about the time the shirts will be ready .

For the curious minds, the report on the events of the day will be coming shortly.

I hear the weather's supposed to be really horrible whenever we have the next one... better start planning not to dive now and beat the rush.
